National Airspace System and Airport Cybersecurity (3 of 3)

In this video, we first review the basics of National Airspace System (NAS) cybersecurity and the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). Then we discuss airport cybersecurity, including the prevalence of cyber attacks on airports, studies on airport cybersecurity vulnerabilities, airport data exposure, airport network vulnerabilities, and finally, mitigation and risk management strategies for airports themselves as well as for personal travelers at airports. This series of videos is meant to provide an overview of applications of cybersecurity (e.g., maritime, aviation, supply chain, etc.) normally not discussed in information technology or cybersecurity courses, which help provide a broadening of a students understanding of how cybersecurity affects these domains, and its importance therein. The intended audiences for these videos include high school, community college, and lower-level university students who are interested in, or participating in, cybersecurity, information technology, or associated programs. Additionally, the first video in a series is broad enough to be understood by a general audience.
