These are three related, urgent applications for special leave to appeal from Belize. The Applicants, Jeremy Enriquez and his counsel, Mr. Anand Ramlogan S.C., seek special leave to appeal three separate decisions of the Court of Appeal of Belize ("CA") delivered on the same day, 10 October 2025. This Court on 9 December 2025, ordered that the special leave applications be treated as the hearing of the substantive appeals and Order No 19 (gag order) of the HC was stayed. The three Applications are as follows: I. Application (Enriquez re: Injunction – Notice of Appeal field before Order perfected): Arises from CA Civil Appeal No. 6 of 2025. The Applicant was appealing the High Court's dismissal of his original injunction application. The CA struck out this appeal, finding it a nullity because the Notice of Appeal was filed before the High Court's order had been formally "perfected" by the registry. II. Application (Ramlogan re: Wasted Costs): Arises from CA Civil Appeal No. 9 of 2025. The Applicant was appealing a wasted costs order made against him personally. The CA struck out this appeal, finding it a nullity because the Applicant had failed to seek leave to appeal what the CA deemed an "order as to costs". III. Application (Enriquez re: Ex parte Order): The Applicant was appealing an ex parte order from the judge (containing a "gag order" and other directions) issued after the Applicant's recusal application. The CA struck out this appeal, finding it an abuse of process because the Applicant had failed to first apply to the judge duces tecum to vary the ex parte order.
