How and Why some Convergences can be achieved by Design while some others may happen more by way of Chance. Dr. Kajoli Krishnan is a physicist by training, engineer by practice and clinically inclined by choice. A Principal Scientist at GE’s Research Centre in Bangalore, her core areas of expertise are wave propagation and biomedical ultrasound. She proposed and led a project to help midwives to monitor growth of fetus in pregnant women using ultrasound. The algorithms designed by her team turned into a feature in GE’s ultrasound scanners. Kajoli is now devising novel quantitative ultrasound measurements for fatty liver. She loves music, reading, writing and traveling.
