It was invented to compete with the growing popularity of the French Baguette and is relatively new to the world, having been created only in 1982. This delicious bread is filled with tiny holes and is great for sandwiches. And we can also use Ciabatta to make some incredible garlic bread and cheesy garlic bread, which is our bonus recipe today! FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM: / diningwiththedrews INGREDIENTS: -- Ciabatta Dough -- 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp (207g) Water 1 + 3/4 tsp (5g) Active Dry Yeast 1 + 1/2 cup (250g) Bread Flour (compact it when measuring with the side of a knife to get as close to 250g as possible) 4 tsp (18g) Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 + 1/4 tsp (5g) Kosher Salt -- Garlic Butter Mixture -- 1/2 cup (113g) Unsalted Butter (softened) 2 tbsp (3g) Fresh Parsley 5 large Garlic Cloves 1/2 tsp (3g) Fine Sea Salt 1/2 tsp (3g) Black Pepper -- Toppings -- 1/4 cup (23g) Parmigiano Reggiano (plus a little more to sprinkle on the plain garlic bread) 2/3 cup (67g) Freshly Grated Mozzarella
