I went the artistic route with my first presentation of these photos of Ouro Preto, Brazil. If you look at my other slideshow offering called "Retrato Em Branco e Preto", you will see many of the same photos. However, they were all in black and white. Even though Carminho sang her "Fado" heart out on the tune written by Antonio Carlos Jobim, the slideshow wasn't that popular. In any case, here are the same photos plus others as I wandered around Ouro Preto on an overcast day in their spring(which would have been October and November, 2016). With the multi-colored flowers in bloom, the vibrant colors painted on the wooden trim of the colonial buildings, and the gorgeous churches in yellow and green, Ouro Preto shows itself as a very colorful place despite being in the fog. I quite welcomed the overcast skies as it meant that the strolls remained cool and the town retained an air of mystery. I've chosen 3 of my favorite Brazilian singers as the soundtrack for this one. First, "Agua de Beber" by Astrud Gilberto, "Ai Ai Ai" by Ivan Lins and "Louca Me Chamam" by Gal Costa. Indeed, "Louco Me Chamo" Pra Ouro Preto!
