Ya Viene el Sol en Manuel Antonio National Park and Town, Costa Rica

Manuel Antonio is a delightful town and National Park on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. In comparison to the Central Valley, Manuel Antonio can be quite hot and muggy... and this climate carries on all of the way down the coast to Panama. The national park is apparently quite small but it is a lush area all the same, with thick tropical forests, beautiful beaches, conspicuous wildlife, and crashing waves. The surf can be quite rough near Manuel Antonio so I wouldn't expect "calm waves"! This slideshow follows my adventure on foot through the national park- all visitors enter on foot. A bit later I check out Manuel Antonio town, Quepos town, and the Espadilla Beach where I witnessed a breathtaking sunset after a day of lounging in the sun. The songs here include "Ya Viene El Sol" by the Spanish group Mecano, followed by "Best of Friends" sung by American singer Lonnie Gordon. I've been to Costa Rica on three different occasions and Manuel Antonio has drawn me back each and every time. It is a magical place.
