Lasagna freezes well so you can make it early or have lots of leftovers later on! It's a great, family-friendly dish! Recipe: FOR MEAT SAUCE: Brown 1-1/2 pounds of hamburger (or sausage) with ½ finely chopped onion (optional) Add 1 or 2 jars of 24 oz Prego roasted garlic & herb sauce (any brand will do) Use enough to make the sauce juicy. FOR CHEESE SAUCE: In separate bowl mix together 2 15 oz. Ricotta Cheese 2 cups of shredded Parmesan Cheese Garlic powder to taste (optional) 1 egg Now assemble your Lasagna layers-- Spray with non-stick spray your casserole dish. I used a 9 x 11 and got 2 very full layers. (9 x 13 pan might work better.) 1. Meat sauce (small amount) It helps keep the noodles moist. 2. 3/4 Noodles (One layer of noodles, I used Oven Ready, don’t have to cook them) 3. Meat sauce (Use ½) 4. Layer Pepperoni next (This is my SECRET ingredient!) 5. Cheese Mixture (Use ½) 6. Cover with shredded Mozzarella cheese 7. REPEAT THE LAYERS AGAIN ending with Mozzarella. Bake COVERED with foil 40 minutes, then UNCOVER and bake 20 more minutes or until top is as brown as you like it.
