In this Shakedown, we're making special stages more special by looking into the likes of Epic, Super, and Power stages. A rally weekend challenges drivers across multiple stages, and often stage types, including Epic stages that are the longest of the bunch, Super Specials that take place in front of the crowds and sometimes even directly against other cars, and Power stages to give away a few bonus points for the championship, provided you get through them quick enough. Rallyman is flexible enough to allow you to do all of these different stages, and so here we are trying them out. Varying up our rallies with stages that are twice the length of the others, or take place around a circuit allows players to put different dashboards and strategies to the test. Knowing that a power stage offers bonus points might mean you focus your efforts on finishing first on it, and therefore need to play it safer on earlier stages to ensure you don't take any damage - but leave it too late to perform well and you might have lost more by falling down the overall standings. You don't have to make use of each of these stage types in a rally, but they each offer something different from what you'll find in the rulebook. Get creative and have a memorable rally. 0:00 Intro 2:14 Rules 3:43 Stage 1 29:21 Stage 2 43:47 Stage 3 57:32 Results SHAKEDOWN is a showcase of Rallyman and the community that makes it what it is. From variant rules to recreated race tracks, from serious strategy to silly situations to find yourself in, I want to highlight anything and everything that makes this game shine, much of it community created content. There are many, many more things to show off in future Shakedowns, but what would you like to see the most? What aspect of Rallyman hasn't been explored enough? Which circuits are hidden gems? What rules do you insist others try out for themselves? Let me know, and be sure to spread the word about whatever great Rallyman content you find on your travels. Files you'll need to recreate what you see in this Shakedown can be found on BoardGameGeek (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/3..., and while you're there, hop into the forums and spark up a conversation. You never know which rabbit hole of ideas you'll stumble into. Coffs Super Special: 301a, 111b(R), 404a, 413a(TR), 315a(L), 116b(R), 126b(L), 125b(L), [413a(R)], 113b(L), 408a(TL), [404a(L)]. Ah well, there's always next time...
