Hyderabadi Paneer Masala with Butter Naan | Restaurant Style Paneer Recipe at Home Today I am sharing a delicious Hyderabadi Paneer Masala recipe along with soft homemade Butter Naan. This paneer curry is rich, flavorful and made with a special masala paste of onions, mint, coriander and spinach which gives it a unique Hyderabadi taste. The paneer is fried until golden and then cooked in a creamy yogurt based gravy. I have also shown how to make soft Butter Naan on tawa without oven, which pairs perfectly with this paneer masala. Ingredients For Frying Paneer 250 grams paneer (cut into big cubes) Oil for frying For Masala Paste 4 medium onions (roughly chopped) 1 inch ginger 6–7 garlic cloves 3 green chillies A few mint leaves A handful of fresh coriander leaves A small handful of spinach For Yogurt Masala 1 small bowl curd (dahi) 1 tbsp coriander powder 1 tbsp garam masala 1 tsp red chilli powder ½ tsp black pepper powder Whole Spices 1 tbsp cumin seeds 1 small cinnamon stick 5 green cardamom Other Ingredients Oil Hot water (as required) Fresh coriander leaves for garnish Salt to taste Hyderabadi Paneer Masala Recipe First cut the paneer into big cubes. Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer until golden brown. Remove and keep aside. In the same pan add roughly chopped onions, ginger, garlic and green chillies. Fry until the onions turn pinkish brown. Add mint leaves, coriander leaves and a little spinach. Fry everything for about 5 minutes until well cooked. Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool completely. Once cooled, grind it into a smooth paste by adding 1 ice cube or little water. In a bowl take curd and add: coriander powder garam masala red chilli powder black pepper powder Mix everything well and keep aside. Heat oil in a kadai and add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick and green cardamom. Fry the whole spices for a few seconds until aromatic. Now add the prepared onion paste and cook it well until oil starts releasing from the masala. Add the curd and spice mixture and cook again until the masala becomes soft and oil separates. Add hot water as required and mix well. Cover and cook the gravy for 5 minutes. Now add the fried paneer cubes and mix gently. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Your rich and flavorful Hyderabadi Paneer Masala is ready. Butter Naan Ingredients 2 cups maida (all-purpose flour) ½ tsp salt 1 tbsp baking powder ¼ tsp baking soda 1 tsp sugar ¼ cup curd 1–2 tbsp oil Water as needed Butter Fresh coriander Butter Naan Recipe (Without Oven) In a bowl add maida, salt, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. Mix well. Add curd and oil and mix again. Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough. Apply a little oil on the dough, cover it and let it rest for 2 hours. After resting, divide the dough into small balls. Roll one ball into naan shape and sprinkle some coriander leaves on top. Lightly roll again so the coriander sticks to the naan. Apply a little water on the back side of the naan. Stick it to a hot tawa and cook on medium flame. When one side cooks, flip the tawa over the gas flame and roast until slightly charred.
