🌴South Indian Thali Recipe | Dosa, Idli, Sambar, Batata Bhaji & Coconut Chutney🥥 | Easy Homemade Meal🤤 Today I am sharing a complete South Indian Thali recipe at home including crispy dosa, soft idli, flavorful sambar, batata bhaji and fresh coconut chutney. Don’t forget to Like, Share and Subscribe for more delicious recipes. 1️⃣ Sambar Recipe Ingredients 1 bowl toor dal 1 bowl moong dal 1 bottle gourd (lauki), chopped 1 potato, chopped Cauliflower florets 1 brinjal, chopped Salt to taste ½ tsp turmeric powder 3–4 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds Curry leaves 5–6 garlic cloves 3–4 onions, finely chopped 4 tomatoes, finely chopped 2 tbsp sambar masala 1 tsp red chilli powder Fresh coriander leaves for garnish Recipe Wash toor dal and moong dal properly. Add water, salt and turmeric and cook in a pressure cooker. Add chopped bottle gourd, potato, cauliflower and brinjal with the dal and cook for 3–4 whistles until everything is soft. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add curry leaves and garlic. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft. Add sambar masala and red chilli powder. Add the cooked dal and vegetables and mix well. Cook for a few minutes and garnish with fresh coriander. Delicious homemade sambar is ready. 2️⃣ Batata Bhaji Ingredients 5 boiled potatoes 2–3 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds Curry leaves 4–5 garlic cloves 2 onions, chopped ½ tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves. Recipe Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add garlic and chopped onions. Add a little salt so the onions cook faster. Sauté until onions turn golden brown. Add chopped boiled potatoes. Add turmeric and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander. 3️⃣ Coconut Chutney Ingredients 1 fresh coconut (cut into pieces) 4 tbsp peanuts 1 tbsp roasted chana dal 6–7 green chillies 4–5 garlic cloves Small piece of ginger Fresh coriander leaves Salt to taste 1 tsp sugar Water as required For Tempering 2 tbsp oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp cumin seeds Curry leaves 2 dry red chillies Recipe Add coconut, peanuts, roasted chana dal, green chillies, garlic, ginger and coriander into a mixer jar. Add water and grind into a smooth chutney. Add salt and sugar and mix well. Heat oil in a pan for tempering. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies. Pour the tempering over the chutney. Coconut chutney is ready. 4️⃣ Idli Ingredients 3½ glasses rice 1½ glasses urad dal Salt to taste Water as required Oil for greasing Recipe Wash rice and urad dal and soak them overnight (8–9 hours). Drain the water and grind them into a smooth batter. Keep the batter for fermentation for 7–8 hours. Add salt and mix well. Grease the idli moulds with oil. Pour the batter into the moulds. Steam the idlis for 10–12 minutes on high flame. Soft and fluffy idlis are ready. 5️⃣ Dosa Ingredients Idli batter Salt Water for consistency Oil Recipe Take idli batter in a bowl. Add a little water and salt to adjust the consistency. Heat a dosa pan well. Sprinkle some water to check the heat and wipe it. Pour the batter and spread it in a circular motion. Drizzle oil around the dosa. Cook until crispy and golden brown.
