The terrain of the route was a combination of grassy lakeside, woodland and field paths plus a track; cycle tracks, gravel and tarmac paths, pavements, roads and a dam road. The walking was easy on level or gentle undulating ground. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. There were no stiles to negotiate. Along the walk you visit: Grafham Water Visitor Centre and Grafham; West Wood and Litles Wood; Perry and Grafham Water Dam. Scenery includes: lovely lakeside and woodland views; fields, crop fields and meadows; the charming All Saints' Church in Grafham and Grafham Water Dam. You may also see water fowl and boats on the lake water. I did this walk with my wife Anne whilst on a combined cat sitting and Cambridgeshire walking holiday during June 2019. We drove from our accommodation in Woodhurst, Cambridgeshire, north of St Ives, to the starting location of Grafham Water Visitor Centre, Cambridgeshire, off the B661, 1 mile west of Buckden, at grid reference TL 166 680.
