Improvising Music in My Head

Hey folks. In this video, I just sit down at the drums and play. This is a clip of several that are from a fifty minute, free form jam. It's audio from an iPhone 6. There's a bit of tempo shifting and such. I'm not using a click or listening to anything. But in my head I can hear music, in this case, big band. Some of the left hand work is chatter and some is an effort to play soloist type phrases. Like what a saxophone player might play. I'm hearing a saxophone in my head. Obviously "the band" is sympathetic to anything I play. So it's almost less of a drum improvisation and more a music improvisation, it's just you can'y hear the music. I'm coming up with themusic in my head and then playing along to it. Or sort of... It's hard to pin down. Thanks a million. Enjoy. There are other clips from the same session coming. #DynamicBeaters
