The main exercises we'll be discussing are tricep dips, tricep extensions, and how to strengthen your ligaments for handstand push ups. First exercise is floor tricep dips. Start off by laying on your back, knees bent, feet shoulder width apart, and hands just outside of shoulders. To perform this movement, explode up and at the same time bring your hips up. This is a very difficult exercise, so now we will go through some progressions. To make it easier, you can bring your upper body up first and then your hips, instead of both at the same time. To make this harder, you can take one leg off the ground. The most advanced variation is bringing your hips up before your extend your arms. If your strong enough to do handstand push ups, this hits the triceps really hard. If not, you can progress by using a wall for assistance. Your triceps are more of a synergistic muscle, meaning they assist your primary muscles like your chest during a push up. This does not mean we should neglect them though, as they can have a huge affect on our performance with various movements.
