Traditionally during Chinese New Year, it is important to eat steamed fish at the family reunion dinner. Fish symbolise surplus or abundance of all good things, and the fish has to be served whole with the head and tail. This recipe is a traditional Chinese steamed fish Teochew style with a bit of my own twist of adding fresh chilli.
