Join us today as we eat, camp and play in the Qualicum area on Vancouver Island. We are Scott and Steph, a couple of adventurers seeking out fun, unique and beautiful spots on Vancouver Island with our adventure pup Google in our converted Ford van, Stella. So this weekend we are staying at Roam Beach Resort which we have stayed at in the past. It is a beautiful ocean front campground in Qualicum Bay. You have full access to the beach for swimming, paddleboarding and true relaxation. On the property is a cedar barrel sauna which is available to the public for rent. While we were staying there we had wonderful hosts Leigh and Angela Manzer who will be finishing up this season and moving towards focusing on their future goals. A lot of the beautiful art you see around the property is made by Leigh and you can reach out to him for his artwork on his Facebook @agape_studiosqp. The sound therapy and yoga session by the sauna in the video was also done by Leigh and Angela. The big grocery store there is Qualicum Foods, from fresh local produce to convenient fuel stops. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this can helps you save time and shop smart in Qualicum Beach. Qualicum Beach is a charming seaside town located on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Little Qualicum Falls is a breathtaking natural attraction located within Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park on Vancouver Island. Cameron Lake, just to the west, is the outflow for the Little Qualicum river. The park features a series of stunning waterfalls cascading through a forested gorge. Visitors can explore well-maintained walking trails, scenic viewpoints, and picnic areas surrounded by lush old-growth forest. The upper and lower falls offer incredible photo opportunities and the sound of rushing water adds to the tranquil experience. Popular for day hikes, nature walks, and family outings, Little Qualicum Falls is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the central Vancouver Island region, especially on the way to Tofino and Ucluelet. Then we went to Coombs Country Market. Coombs Country Market, famously known for its “Goats on the Roof,” is a must-visit destination near Qualicum Beach. They famously have grassy roof—often grazed by real goats— and is a major attraction for visitors of all ages. This quirky, family-friendly market is loved for its unique charm, delicious food, and eclectic shopping. The market features a variety of local and international goods, fresh baked treats, specialty groceries, and unique gifts. And last before home we hit up Extreme Eatery in Parksville for some Mac Daddy Cheeseburgers. Extreme Eatery—is a quirky, fast‑casual spot in Parksville famed for its over-the-top burgers, loaded fries, global-style poutines, and insanely crafted Caesars topped with sliders, wings, or ribs. It’s local comfort food dialed up to fun, bold, and indulgent levels.
