Vicky Essebag, Encouraging Solution Focus in Schools. A Reflective Story of my Recent Work with Middle Schools Presentation with Q&A Lately, my work has taken me into the vibrant, often complex world of middle schools (Grades 6-8), as I have had the privilege of providing leadership for staff, students and parents to infuse solution focus into school culture, classrooms, and in the fabric of their daily lives. Whether through an understanding of solution focused strategies in conversation or a deep dive into Intentional communication, we have been working together to improve overall wellbeing and develop productive relationships. This workshop is my reflection on that journey – the core messages I brought to these schools, the inspiring ways they responded, the strategies that truly clicked, and the lasting hope I carry for the future in schools. Vicky Essebag MEd-CPSY, OCT, OPC, CSFC-CCPC (Toronto, Canada) is President of the Solution Focused Brief Therapy Association (SFBTA).
