Another quickplay and boy, it sure is quick. What it sure isn't by any stretch of the imagination, is an actual game... 😊 Like what you 👀? As the name suggests, it is a tarot card reading simulation game developed by Rare believe it or not, and released exclusively in North America in 1989. Just type in your details, ask it a 'question' and see what cards are in your future. This must be the most expensive tarot card reading ever. So how can this really be a videogame? Well, it's not in a traditional sense. I have an interest for weird and obscure games, hence this video. The Nintendo Entertainment System had a wide library of games, and not surprisingly, it will have it's share of weird oddities like this. It's also interesting that this was marketed as a 'party game', as this is essentially single-player. Taboo: The Sixth Sense can be summarized like so... Enter your name, date of birth and gender Enter a question for the tarot reading Watch all ten cards of the Celtic Cross reveal themselves Enter your state/province and lucky lottery numbers That is essentially a game that last several minutes, detailed in as many sentences. Unless you have some demented desire to see all 72 tarot cards, there isn't any replay value. Nor is there any real challenge. The most difficult thing you'll do in this...'game' is to type in details before a reading. You don't even need to do that. Just make sure a correct date (mm/dd/yyyy) is used, and keep pressing buttons to scroll to the end. Hilariously, Taboo: The Sixth Sense can be beaten in little over two minutes from title screen to title screen. Most of that time will be waiting for each card to reveal itself. It's amazing just what speedrunners will play to get a world record in the most obscure of game... #tarot #tarotreading #tarotcards #tarotreader #taboothesixthsense #nes #nesgames #obscuregames #terriblegamer #nintendo #rareware #nintendoentertainmentsystem #retro #retrogaming #retrogames #retrogame #tarotgame #retrovisionist
