The SEPTA Regional Rail "Trenton Line" is SEPTA's main service connecting passengers from the main hubs of the city of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania, with New Jersey, as well as connecting NJT regional services, and Amtrak services throughout the whole Northeast Corridor. The line continues out to Center City in Philadelphia, making its major middle stop at William H. Gray III-30th Street Station, and then continuing out from there all the way to Chestnut Hill East. Trains that provide this services can range from the abundant newer technology Silverliner V EMU cars built by Hyundai Rotem between 2009 and 2013, older Silverliner IV EMU cars built by GE between 1973-1976 (featuring the same design as NJT's Arrow III EMU's, without the center door on each car), or push-pull consists which strictly consist of Bombardier single level coaches comprised of SEPTA I cab cars, and SEPTA I and SEPTA II passenger cars, with the I's built in 1987 and SEPTA II's built in 1999. These consists of coaches could only be pulled by Siemens ACS-64's ordered by SEPTA in 2018 after Amtrak's huge successful order, fulfilling the same purpose. Silverliner V's being the only modern trains on the line are equipped with informational screens located throughout the interior of the train, as well as automated announcements for all stations. All of SEPTA's fleet are equipped with the ability to board at both raised platforms and ground level platforms. Between Trenton and 30th Street Station, this whole line can be considered as the Trenton Line while the line from 30th Street to Chestnut Hill East can be considered the Chestnut Hill East line. The Trenton line is branded with the color red, while the Chestnut Hill East line is branded with a dark beige. #septa Video Clips Taken: August, 26th, 2024. Enjoy!
