Ingredients 1–2 tbsp olive oil 1 medium yellow onion, chopped 200 g ground meat (beef, lamb, chicken, or turkey) 1 medium carrot, chopped ¼ red bell pepper, chopped 300 gr cauliflower and broccoli, sliced 2 tbsp tomato paste ½ cup water Juice of ½ lemon Spices ¼ tsp nutmeg 2 tsp turmeric 1–2 tsp black pepper 2 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ground cardamom Salt to taste Instructions Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and lightly golden. Add the ground meat. If the meat is frozen, add 2 tablespoons of water and cover the pan briefly to help it soften. Cook until the meat is fully browned. Add the nutmeg, turmeric, black pepper, ground coriander, cinnamon, and cardamom. Stir well so the spices evenly coat the meat. Push the meat mixture to one side of the pan. Add the tomato paste to the empty space and let it cook for about 1 minute to deepen the flavor. Then mix it into the meat. Add the chopped carrot and red bell pepper. Pour in 1–2 tablespoons of water, cover the pan, and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened. Add the cauliflower and broccoli. Pour in ½ cup of water, cover the pan, and cook on high heat for about 2 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking for another 4–5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender. Remove the lid, season with salt to taste, and mix well. Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon and stir. Serve warm and enjoy!
