This video is a Follow along Plank workout challenge. This means the core include the glutes, hip flexors, abs, lumbar musculature etc. ' The core is basically all of the muscles from below the pecs all the way through the quads. These muscles are responsible for stabilizing the spine and the transfer of force between the upper and lower body. A strong core will go a long way to preventing low back pain.
