At 53 I use this single kettlebell full body workout at home to stay strong, mobile, and athletic. No gym needed. Just a kettlebell and push up bars. It is Friday and I have another full body workout for you. We will build strength and mobility with figure 8 to thrusters, push ups, and a kettlebell row. This is functional training for midlife that carries over to real life and sports. I am not training just to look fit. I want to stay athletic. I want to play pickleball until I am an old, old man. And if you play hard like I do, you already know it is not just a casual game. You have to sprint, stop fast, move side to side, stay low, squat, hinge, rotate, and explode when the point gets intense. That takes strong legs, a solid core, grip strength, and a back that can handle it. This style of training has worked incredibly well for me at my age, and it can work for you too. Workout Equipment: One kettlebell and push up bars 5 rounds Figure 8 to thruster, 5 reps each side Push ups, 10 reps Kettlebell row, 5 reps each side Rest one to two minutes after each round Finisher Pull ups, 10 reps Alternative: Kettlebell row, 5 reps each side Save this workout for later or send it to a friend.
