For this video, I make a pumpkin pie from scratch using the Libby's Old Fashioned Pumpkin Pie recipe, but instead of regular white flour in the crust, I use whole wheat flour in the crust. This was definitely a little different to work with compared to regular white flour, but still was doable. The raw dough was drier and a bit less pliable, so I had to add more water and the crust cracked a little easier when rolling it out. Once cooked, the crust definitely had a darker shade, was a bit more brittle, and had a stronger flavor. However, when I would eat a piece of pie, I could barely tell the difference. Because the flour is whole wheat, it feels a bit easier to digest than regular white flour.
