I’ve been meditating for about 40 years now and about 11 years ago, yoga came in and started changing my life. I had been pretty tough on my body up to that point. I was in the music business, some serious on-stage dancing, very late nights early mornings, long days on the road, and loads of other things we won’t discuss here. Yeah, I had taken yoga courses periodically in my 40s, Clarisa (RIP) was a slow yoga teacher and my other teacher was Speedy Gonzalez. He would have been great at Hot yoga. But, it wasn’t popular at the time. Anyway, it took a while to recognize how important this was for me. At 50 something changed and my body was sending me messages I needed to receive. I was having lots of joint pain in, my back, knee, and neck. I went for steroid shots (Ouch!) and they worked. I put it off. Then My sister invited me to a yoga class when I was visiting my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.
