GOTO Track 01 // Rewind & Repeat PHANTOM DOMINION is the newest transmission in my ongoing PSX series — a love letter to 90s/Y2K atmospheric drum and bass, ambient jungle, and the kind of fictional PlayStation soundtracks that felt bigger than the hardware could handle. I grew up on that era of shimmering pads, crunchy breaks, and emotional melodies buried under bit-rate fog. This album is my attempt to channel that feeling again — like discovering a lost PS1 disc with a mecha game that never officially existed, but somehow shaped your childhood anyway. In this imagined title, you pilot the experimental combat frame known as the PHANTOM DOMINION — a classified third-person assault unit deployed to investigate signal anomalies across the Outer Halo Territories. The game opens above a flooded megastructure reef, low-poly waves clipping against rusted platforms while distant lightning loops in a grainy skybox. Your mission is to trace a rogue transmission source buried beneath shifting tectonic plates and abandoned orbital elevators. Every level feels vast but slightly empty, that classic PS1 loneliness, with fog masking draw distance and shapes emerging from the haze. As you descend deeper into the campaign, environments shift from crystalline salt deserts and bioluminescent forest craters to impossible gravity wells suspended over mirrored oceans. Corrupted service mechs roam these areas — former defense units glitched by an unknown directive. Some missions are direct combat operations, others are classified reconnaissance runs through silent facilities where only the hum of your reactor and distant breakbeats fill the void. The PHANTOM DOMINION itself feels heavy yet agile, boosters flaring in sharp polygons as you dash between monolithic structures that flicker with unstable textures. The production of the album is mainly centered around textures, one-shots and breaks coming from 90s sample CDs, together with selected samples, chops, melodic flips and atmospheric manipulations of PSX soundtracks. Best enjoyed during late-night coding sessions in a dark room lit only by your screen, but also just while commuting through the city with headphones on and your thoughts drifting somewhere far away. Thank you for continuing to support this project and believing in this strange retro-future world I am building. I am constantly learning, refining my sound, and pushing myself to make each release more immersive than the last. Your time and ears mean everything to me.
