Parai is a traditional drum that was used for public announcements and storytelling by the ancient Tamil culture. Aazhi Kalaikuviyam is a collective that aims to rehabilitate socially neglected communities by teaching them this ancient art form. Their performance at TEDxNapier Bridge is a mesmerizing tapestry of rhythmic storytelling where every beat tells a tale of cultural richness and human resilience. Aazhi Arts is an NGO that teaches traditional art forms to the marginalized community. Specialising in Parai and Silambam, they are lighting up the lives of juvenile kids, transgenders, and HIV-affected children by imparting to them, our traditional art forms.
