Studded with Hazelnut Spread Holiday M&M’s, these easy-to-prepare Christmas tree cakes are a fun and festive way to celebrate the holidays. Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes Total Time: 40 minutes Makes: 12 servings (using half of the cake) Ingredients: 1 pkg (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix 2 pkg (1.69 oz each) Hazelnut Spread Holiday M&M’s, divided 6 oz plain brick-style cream cheese 2 tbsp butter, at room temperature 1/2 cup icing sugar, sifted 1 tsp vanilla extract 12 pretzel rods Instructions: Grease 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper; set aside. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Divide batter in half; fold half of the Hazelnut Spread Holiday M&M’s into one half of batter and spoon into prepared pan. Bake according to package directions. Let cool completely. (Meanwhile, bake and reserve remaining cake for another use.) Using electric mixer, beat cream cheese until light and fluffy; beat in butter until blended. Beat in icing sugar and vanilla on low speed. Invert cake onto cutting board and peel off parchment paper. Spread cream cheese frosting over cake. Using 2-inch Christmas tree cookie cutter, carefully cut out 12 trees. Insert pretzel rod horizontally into bottom of each Christmas tree to resemble tree trunk. Decorate with remaining Hazelnut Spread Holiday M&M’s. Tips: • If desired, use tubes of colored icing to pipe additional decorations onto Christmas tree pops. • Use remaining cake to make holiday M&M’s trifles, layering cubes of cake, M&M’s, whipped cream, and vanilla or pistachio pudding.
