Ballyfermot is a suburb of Dublin, located on the western side of the city and surrounded by Chapelizod (   • Chapelizod Buses | July 2023  ), Inchicore (   • Inchicore Buses | May 2022  ), Palmerstown, and near Liffey Valley Shopping Centre (   • Liffey Valley Buses | June 2023  ). A lot has changed since the previous visit to Ballyfermot in July 2022 (   • Ballyfermot Buses | July 2022  ). Routes 79, 79A (   • Routes 79 & 79A | Dublin Bus | 2022  ) and the western half of route 40 (   • Route 40 (West) | Dublin Bus | 2022  ) have been replaced by new routes G1, G2 and 60 under Bus Connects. These new routes are operated by Dublin Bus. Go-Ahead Ireland also serve Ballyfermot, operating orbital routes 18 and 76 (and 76A). These are expected to be replaced under an upcoming phase of Bus Connects where they will become new S routes.
