In Micah 6:1–8, God places His people on trial. In this courtroom scene, the Lord stands as both Judge and Plaintiff, bringing a covenant lawsuit against Israel for their unfaithfulness. He calls creation as His witness and reminds His people of His gracious acts—delivering them from Egypt, preserving them through rebellion, and blessing them despite their sin. Israel attempts to defend itself through religious activity—sacrifices, offerings, even extreme devotion—but God rejects empty ritual. The Lord does not want performance; He demands obedience. Micah 6:8 reveals what God truly requires: to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with Him. The verdict is guilty. God’s law exposes Israel—and us—as lawbreakers who cannot justify ourselves. But Micah does not end with condemnation. He points us forward to the hope of the gospel, where Jesus Christ bears the sentence we deserved and offers forgiveness, mercy, and righteousness to all who trust in Him. This sermon calls us to examine our hearts, abandon shallow religion, and come humbly before the God who delights in steadfast love and pardons iniquity. #JesusIsKing #ExpositoryPreaching #Micah #Micah6 #BiblePreaching #VerseByVerse #ReformedTheology #BiblicalTruth #PreachTheWord #GodsWord #ChristCentered #ScriptureAlone #SolaScriptura #OldTestament #MinorProphets #BibleTeaching #ChristianSermon #ChurchOnline #SundaySermon #GospelTruth #ChristianYouTube #SoundDoctrine #BiblicalJustice #GodsHoliness
