Chili Garlic Soya Manchurian Craving something spicy, garlicky, and full of crunch? This Chili Garlic Soya Manchurian is the perfect Indo-Chinese comfort meal. Crispy soya chunks tossed in a bold chili-garlic sauce with colorful veggies — simple ingredients, big flavors, and way better than takeout. Ingredients For Soya Chunks: Soya chunks – 1 cup Hot water – for soaking Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp Salt – to taste Black pepper powder – ½ tsp Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 tsp Cornflour – 1 tbsp Maida (all-purpose flour) – 1 tbsp Oil – for deep frying For Chili Garlic Sauce: Oil – 1 tbsp Chopped garlic – 1 tbsp Chopped onion – 1 small Green chilies – 1–2 (chopped) Bell peppers (red, yellow, green) – ½ cup (diced) Chili sauce – 1 tbsp Soya sauce – 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup – 1 tbsp Vinegar – 1 tsp Water – as needed Cornflour slurry (cornflour + water) – 1 tbsp Sesame seeds – for garnish 🍳 Method Soak the soya chunks in hot water for 10 minutes. Wash them well, squeeze out excess water, and transfer to a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, salt, black pepper, and Kashmiri red chili powder. Mix well. Add cornflour and maida. Mix until the chunks are well coated. Deep fry the soya chunks in hot oil until golden and crispy. Keep aside. In a pan, heat some oil. Add chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add onions, green chilies, and diced bell peppers. Stir fry on high flame for crunch. Add chili sauce, soya sauce, ketchup, and vinegar. Mix well. Add a little water and cornflour slurry. Cook until the sauce thickens. Add fried soya chunks and toss well until everything is coated.
