This ballet barre or centre exercise prepares us for travelling piqué and piqué turns, strengthens feet, legs, coordination and balance and moves us through space in an exciting way. We practice 3 versions of a traveling piqué, fondu, and pas de bourrée combination: rolling down to a flat foot & remaining on demi-pointe at the barre/counter/other sturdy support, and both without using a barre.
