Action Packed 20 Minutes - Milton (2R4) to Pensacola (82J) w/ RNAV Approach at KPNS - Cockpit & ATC

Nothing like economizing on a short flight home from donuts at Peter Prince, Milton Airport! Four minutes after takeoff we ask for a practice approach to runway 26 at Pensacola International. At first they switch us to the RNAV 35 instead but then coordinate the 26 after all. By 7 minutes we're intercepting the final approach coarse. Over to tower at 8 minutes, miss at 12 and a half minutes straight ahead towards Roscoe Field. Five minutes later we're overhead for left traffic and land just under 18 minutes after takeoff. Normally it doesn't quite work out this way but once in a while the winds and ATC line up great. Special thanks to Maddi for being safety pilot! And to fellow Comanche driver Keith for meeting up with us - his 260 makes a cameo after takeoff. Our aircraft is a 1959 Piper Comanche 250 with stock Lycoming O-540 engine. Avionics have been upgraded substantially over the years to now include the Garmin GTN650, Trio ProPilot autopilot, and dual G5s. I use Garmin Pilot app as my EFB and a new Flight Stream 510 now powers automatic flight plan sync between the 650 and my iPad and iPhone.
