This recipe is his favorite go-to meal on the weight loss journey! 🥘 Ingredients You Need: Chicken (with bone) – 700 grams Desi Ghee – 4 tbsp (you can adjust as per preference) Tomatoes – 1 large, cut into halves Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp Black Pepper – freshly crushed, 1 tsp Salt – to taste Whisked Yogurt – 2 tbsp Green Chilies – 3-4, sliced lengthwise Ginger – thin juliennes, 1 tbsp Fresh Cream – 1 tbsp (optional, for richer taste) Fresh Coriander – finely chopped, for garnish 🍲 Step-by-Step Recipe: Step 1: Heat the Ghee In a heavy-bottomed pan or wok (karahi), add desi ghee and heat it properly until hot. Step 2: Add Chicken Once the ghee is hot, add 700g chicken with bones directly. Do not add onions or anything else at this point. Step 3: Cook Until White Sauté the chicken on medium-high heat until it turns white and starts to release its own juices. Step 4: Add Tomatoes Take one large tomato, cut into two halves, and place it on top of the chicken. Let it soften. Don’t mix immediately. Step 5: Add Salt + Ginger-Garlic Paste Now add salt to taste and 1 tbsp of homemade ginger-garlic paste. Cook and stir gently. Step 6: Remove Tomato Skin (Optional) Once the tomato becomes soft, use tongs to remove its skin (if preferred). Then mash the tomato into the chicken to create a natural gravy. Step 7: Add Black Pepper Add 1 tsp of freshly crushed black pepper — no red chili powder needed if you want authentic Pakistani flavor. Step 8: Add Whisked Yogurt Take 2 tbsp of curd (yogurt), whisk it well, and add to the pan. Mix gently to avoid curdling. Cook for 2–3 minutes. Step 9: Add Green Chilies & Ginger Juliennes Now add 3–4 slit green chilies and 1 tbsp ginger juliennes. This enhances both flavor and digestion. Step 10: Optional – Add Cream & Butter For a creamy texture, add 1 tbsp fresh cream. If you're okay with a richer taste, a small piece of butter can be added too. Step 11: Final Touch Check the salt and spices. Adjust if needed. Cook on low for another 5–7 minutes until the chicken is completely cooked and the ghee starts to separate. Step 12: Garnish & Serve Turn off the flame. Garnish with fresh coriander and a few extra ginger juliennes.
