(Please note: The keyword I mentioned in this video doesn't work on Youtube, only on Facebook!) Turn leftover Valentine hearts into the cutest Easter bunnies! In this easy, budget-friendly craft, I show you how to flip any heart-shaped blanks (wood, MDF, or even Dollar Tree hearts) into charming farmhouse bunnies perfect for tiered trays, mantels, and vignettes. We’ll paint soft bunny faces, add a bead nose with floral-wire whiskers, pop on burlap ears, and finish with air-dry clay “buck teeth” and a sprinkle of florals. Quick, adorable, and totally customizable. What you’ll learn How to blend a soft bunny face with white, light gray (Storm), and blush/pink (Peachy Keen) for sweet shading Turning a farmhouse bead into a bunny nose and threading floral-wire whiskers through it for a secure hold Shaping simple air-dry clay teeth and attaching them without cracking Freehanding burlap ribbon ears (plus the trick for a floppy ear) Easy styling ideas for tiered trays and spring centerpieces Supplies I used (use what you have!) Heart-shaped blanks (any size) Paint or chalk paste: Bright White, Storm (light gray), Peachy Keen (soft blush/pink), Black for eyes Small round wood bead (for the nose) Floral wire (about 22–24 gauge) for whiskers Hot glue gun and glue sticks Fine paintbrush + the blunt end of a brush for dot eyes Air-dry clay (for teeth) 4" burlap ribbon (or felt/fabric/gingham) for ears Scissors and wire cutters Optional: small florals/greenery, heat tool or hair dryer, sealer Quick how-to 1) Base and blush: Brush on white, then softly blend Storm for a little muzzle shadow and Peachy Keen for cheeks/nose area. 2) Bead nose + whiskers: Paint a bead Peachy Keen. Thread 3–4 pieces of floral wire through the hole for whiskers. Secure with a dot of hot glue and trim. 3) Eyes: Use the end of a paintbrush to dot sweet black eyes. 4) Teeth: Shape two tiny rectangles from air-dry clay. Let set a bit, then attach under the nose. 5) Ears: Cut ear shapes from burlap ribbon (two layers per ear for structure). Glue to the back/top of the heart. Fold and glue one down for a cute floppy ear. 6) Embellish: Add a touch of greenery or mini florals. Tidy glue strings and fluff those whiskers. 7) Style: Prop on a tray with carrots, nests, or moss for instant spring charm. Tips and tweaks Already painted your hearts? Paint right over them—no one will know! For kids or a no-heat option, swap hot glue for craft glue and use pipe cleaners for whiskers. Scale it up: Larger Dollar Tree hearts = longer whiskers and bigger ears. Color swap ideas: Soft sage ears, gingham fabric liners, or a lavender nose for a pastel palette. Finish: A light matte sealer keeps burlap from fraying and paint from scuffing. Safety first: Hot glue and heat tools can burn—work carefully.
