There are currently attempts in multiple countries around the world to limit the sale of EVs made in China and exported Internationally, partly due to the claim that China is unfairly subsidizing the sale of its overseas EVs with massive incentives. We've discussed the need for a fair playing field before, but in a world where some automakers aren't interested in making smaller, more affordable models, is there a way to encourage domestic manufactures to become more competitive, incentivize domestic production AND allow EVs from China to be sold in the interim?
