Welcome to Bonita's Kitchen! Today we will be making RHUBARB FLUFFY CUTS. See recipe below! These tasty little rolls are made with fresh or frozen rhubarb and so delicious! To view & download the full recipe, please view it here on our website: https://www.bonitaskitchen.com Our cookbooks link: https://www.bonitaskitchen.com/cookbook Ingredients: 1½ cups all purpose flour, more for rolling ¼ tsp sea salt ¾ tsp baking powder ¼ cup shortening ½ cup milk Stewed Rhubarb: 3 cups diced rhubarb ¼ cup white sugar ¼ tsp nutmeg 1 tsp cinnamon Topping: ¾ cup brown sugar ¾ cup cold water 1 tsp butter Method: Sift together in a bowl flour, sea salt and baking powder, cut in shortening, then add milk mix lightly. Turn onto a floured counter top and knead until it forms a ball, use more flour if needed. Cut rhubarb in small pieces and add to a saucepan on a medium heat, with cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg, cook for 5 to 10 minutes until stewed. Then lightly roll into a rectangle about 10 x 12, spread top with 1 cup of room temperature rhubarb stew. Leaving the rest to use after. Roll up like a jelly roll and cut in 1½ inch slices, place in a greased baking pan cut side up. Then pour the remainder of the rhubarb stew over all rolls, after top with brown sugar and cold water. Pre-heat oven to 350ºF, bake for 60 minutes. Cover with foil wrap or lid and bake for 35 minutes covered, add butter, then bake for another 25 minutes uncovered. Serve hot or cold!
