We drove from Penang to South Thailand, visiting Hatyai and Songkhla. We passed through Sadao and Bukit Kayu Hitam, stopped over at Samila Beach near Songkhla. It's a long video but we had so much fun I had to record it! It has been 5 years since our last visit to Hatyai, it looks like business is booming again and it is good to see more Halal restaurants opening up to Muslims. Our stay at the Monkham Village Hotel on Rajyindee Road was most excellent. It is a new hotel and had the best rooms and a nice pool. Best hotel in Hatyai I have stayed at so far! Of course we did our fair share of eating at different places and trying new things, such as having a lunch at 7-Eleven and also trying out the burgers at McDonald's in Thailand.
