The message today concerns the man named Daniel and the infamous story of him being thrown into the lion's den and surviving. Daniel was a devoted servant to God, even in the pagan land of Babylon. People had lied on him and caused the king of Babylon to have Daniel thrown into the lion's den. But the king could not rest in knowing what he had done, and went to the den to see the fate of Daniel, who responded with words showing he was alive. The people who lied on Daniel were then thrown into the lion's den and destroyed. What we should get from this is that Daniel completely left things in the hand of God. Daniel lived with integrity, and this showed itself in his absolute devotion to God, and his propriety and civility before the king of Babylon. God showed mercy to Daniel and vindicated him. This same God is ours, and will do the same for us. We must learn to leave matters in His hands, for He can do infinitely more than we can. If we trust in Him, He will deliver however and whenever He chooses.
