Coconut Walnut Bars Recipe Bio: Hello beautiful people! My name is Angelica and I am in love with cooking as it is one of my many passions. I am half Iraqi Chaldean & Half Mexican so you already know there is the LOVE of food running through my blood. Ever since I was a little girl you would find me in the kitchen cooking or playing chef with my little sister. Over the last many years, I have learned and mastered dishes that are filled with so many spices and flavors. Instagram: @spices_more / spices_more Ingredients 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter 1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk 1 3/4 cups of chopped walnuts 1 1/2 cups of sweetened coconut flakes Nonstick Spray Mixing Bowl 9x13 glass pyrex baking dish Directions: First preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Next roughly break up the graham crackers using a heavy rolling pin and once you have done that transfer it to a blender and blend until the graham crackers become finely ground. Grab a saucepan and melt your 1 stick of unsalted butter which makes up 1/2 a cup of melted butter and make sure to keep your temperature on a very low heat. Once dissolved add it to the graham cracker crumbs and mix it in well as this will insure your graham cracker crust to be intact. Grab the baking dish and and generously spray it with a nonstick spray. Then add the graham cracker crumbs mixture and spread it as evenly as possible using your hands. Now take the sweetened condensed milk and pour half of it all over and spread it evenly using a spatula. Once you have done so, add the roughly chopped walnuts all over along with the sweetened coconut flakes and top it off with the remaining half of the sweetened condensed milk. Place your baking dish into the preheated oven of 325 degrees F. and bake for about 25-35 mins until the top layer turns into a light golden brown color. -After the bars are done baking, remove them from the oven and wait till it cools down completely until you cut into them, otherwise the bars will fall apart.
