Why Watercolor Pencils Are My Favorite Art Supply (Hint: It Involves Sizing Up An Image!)!

In this Quick Tip/My Fave installment I share my super easy and effective method for gridding/sizing up images to create large scale paintings based on photographs. The secret to learning to love gridding a canvas (Like seriously—I don’t mind it at all, and even sort of have a good time doing it!) lies in my using the humble watercolor pencil in place of the traditional graphite or colored pencils. I swiftly walk y’all through this process and share my MANY water soluble drawing supplies while talking about why some of these awesome supplies (honestly—I love them all) are super effective for this gridding process and others need to avoided at all costs (like seriously, do NOT use these for this gridding technique!).
