We live in Gilan, Iran, in a quiet villa-style area near nature. Yalda Night is all about family, traditions, and togetherness. A few nights before Yalda, my husband’s family came to our home to celebrate. I prepared Yalda food and decorations at our house — but because they preferred not to appear on camera, I didn’t film them. On the real Yalda night, we went to my sister’s house in the city. She had prepared everything with love — nuts, watermelon, coconut, fruits, desserts, and sweets. I wanted to bring something myself, so I deseeded fresh pomegranates and fried Indian snacks at our home near nature, and brought them along. That night, our family gathered — parents, children, nieces, sons, and my daughter-in-law. My father, the head of our family, opened a Hafez poetry book, read a beautiful poem, and we all sat around the Korsi, listening and applauding him. We ate, shared poems, laughed, and enjoyed every moment. From a calm morning near nature to a warm city gathering, this is a real Iranian Yalda Night — full of love, tradition, and joy. 🤍
