#Howtomake #seafoodrecipes #cooking Ingredients: 2.5 lbs Shrimp 1lb smoked sausage 2.5 lbs of russet potatoes 3 stalks celery 1 large yellow onion 1 large green bell pepper 1 cup All purpose flour 1 cup veg Oil 2 tsp minced garlic Cajun seasonings Garlic powder Parsley Salt & pepper 6 cups water Shrimp stock: Peel shrimp and simmer the shrimp peelings in 6 cups of water and add dry seasonings. Cajun, garlic powder, parsley salt & pepper for 1 hour. Strain the peelings and keep the liquid once it’s done simmering Roux: In a pot (stew pot) on medium heat add 1 cup veg oil, then add 1 cup all purpose flour. Turn heat to low and mix continuously until roux is no longer grainy and liquified to a medium to dark brown color. Add cut up vegetables- onion, celery, bell pepper and sauté in roux until veggies are half way softened. Then add shrimp stock and mix to make sure there’s no clumps Add peeled/cubed potatoes and cook on low/medium heat for approximately 20 mins or until potatoes are fork tender Add minced garlic & shrimp. Then add more dry seasoning if needed & salt & pepper to taste. Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes to allow the shrimp to cook.
