When I don’t feel inspired, and I don’t know what to paint or draw, that’s when I usually take out my red pencil. I place my favorite object in front of me—something I love to draw (in my case, it’s the garlic holder, which you probably already know from previous videos)—and I draw it, combining it with other objects or animals. Essentially, I’m not creating anything particularly special, but it helps me get past the creative block. That’s the moment when the blockage disappears. I don’t know why it’s specifically the red pencil that triggers this—honestly, I think it would work with a blue, green, or any other colored pencil. The point is, even if days go by without drawing (because it really happens that you're just not feeling inspired and can’t sit down to create), don’t let weeks go by without creating! Because those weeks quickly turn into months, and then into years. Years in which you could have grown in your art. This applies to other things too, not just drawing. Today, this is the thought I wanted to share with you. Now I’m getting ready to go to the botanical garden—because I want to draw flowers, and what better place for that? :) Do you like going to botanical gardens? Do you have a favorite place? Let me know, I’m really curious! And draw—anything—a house, a flower, a sun, a tree… just like you did when you were little! Hugs, and see you next week! #artblock #drawinginspiration #sketchwithme #creativeroutine #OvercomeArtBlock #artistlife #dailydrawing #BotanicalSketching #RedPencilDrawing #keepcreating
