Tonight, Mairov and Tobey are whipping up some homemade pizza with caramelized onions and dipping sauces - ranch dip, garlic dip, and chilli crunch! #kidsinthekitchen #koshercooking #kosherfoodie #homemadepizza Pizza: 5 t yeast 2 ¼ c warm water 2T sugar 6 c flour, plus more as needed 5 T coconut oil 1 ½ t salt Directions: Mix yeast with warm water and sugar in a large bowl of an electric mixer. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add: flour, coconut oil, and salt. Using electric mixer, knead for 10 minutes. Add more flour as needed if dough is too sticky. (Can knead by hand as well.) Shape dough into a ball and place in oiled bowl, covered. Allow to rest for at least 1 hour until it doubles in size. Preheat oven to 475 for 30 minutes before making pizza. Cut dough into 3 pieces. Form pizza and top with sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings. Place pizza in oven and lower temperature to 425 and bake for 10-12 minutes. (Leftover dough can be frozen for later use.) Caramelized Onions: 5 large onions, cut into round circles 1/4-1/2 c olive oil Directions: Place sliced onions in large baking dish. Pour oil on top and mix. Cover. Place in preheated 400 degree oven for 1 hour. Uncover. Mix every 15 minutes until browned. (This will take about 45 minutes.) Chili Crisp/Chili Crunch Dip: ½ c dried, minced garlic ½ c dried onions ¼ c to ½ c red chili flakes ½ c sesame seeds 1 T sugar 1 t salt 1 T paprika 4 T soy sauce 2 ½ c neutral oil Put all dry ingredients into an oven safe dish. Heat oil on the stove until it reaches 340 degrees. Pour oil on top of dry ingredients. Let cool. Ranch Dip: 1-1 ½ c mayonnaise 1 t parsley 1 t dried chives 1 t dill 1 t onion powder 1 t garlic powder ½ t lemon juice pinch of salt Place all ingredients into food processor and mix. Garlic Dip: 1 – 1 ½ c mayonnaise 1 T minced garlic 1-2 T lemon juice (to taste) pinch of salt garlic powder, to taste Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
