The Single Arm Single Leg Deadlift is an excellent exercise for building lower body strength, hip control, and balance while challenging coordination and stability. By loading one side of the body while standing on the opposite leg, this movement trains the posterior chain while also improving core engagement and movement awareness. Key coaching points: Opposite hand holds the dumbbell from the planted leg Dumbbell traces along the shin during the descent Send hips back rather than bending forward Keep a long spine — avoid rounding Inhale on the way down Exhale as you stand back up Use the free arm for balance You should primarily feel this in: Glutes Hamstrings Hip stabilizers Core Complete reps on one side before switching to the other.
