Getting started Analyzing Data With Alteryx - Campaign Analytics - Part 1

This video is the first part in a three-part series on building out a redemption analysis process in Alteryx. These videos will show you every step, formula and any and all involved code that you will need so that you will be able to create and replicate these exact same processes. One thing I love about Alteryx is its usability and reusability. I can quickly make a process that can use all sorts of data from different sources and spit out the results that I need for an analysis or report. One process that I use a lot is getting redemption data and redemption percentage for customers. In this video I go over the first part where we take data that needs to be massaged and altered for better usability with multiple formulas and a select component. Most of the formulas are to extract the necessary information from the fields that we will use later on in the further analysis. One of them will show you if then else statements and how that works in Alteryx. I have a complete if then if else formula that takes periods or months numbers and converts them to month names for better clarity in the future analysis. Like the data in most of my other videos this is data from an actual project or task that is commonly faced in data analysis and advanced analytics. Be sure and watch part two and part three so that you will then be able to do this entire analysis and replicating yourself. What's nice about this the and is that you'll be able to quickly take most any campaign data and get the redemption percentage and redemption information in literally seconds.
