Dough recipe: • Best Home Made Bread Dough Recipe Dough: 1 Tbs yeast 1 Cup of warm water 1 tbs salt 1 tbs olive oil, 2 Cup of flour Filling: 1lb Italian sausage 1/2 lb pepperoni 1 med onion 1 bell pepper (any color) 2 cups shredded mozzarella 1 tsp Italian seasoning Garlic powder and pepper to taste 2 tbs avocado oil 2 tbs olive oil Preheat your oven to 400F Dough: In a large bowl, combine your warm water, yeast, olive oil, and salt. Start gradually adding the flour.form it into a smooth dough. Grease you bowl and let it rest in a warm place. Let it proof for 1 hour While the dough is rising, prepare your filling Filling: While the dough is proofing, you can prepare your filling. There are many different fillings and flavors you can combine for your Stromboli, but this Italian inspired is my favorite. Thinly slice your peppers and onions. Heat up your pan on medium heat. Add 2 tbs avocado oil Sauté the sausage for a couple minutes. Once it is almost fully cooked, move it to the side of your pan and add peppers and onion. Sauté for about 5 minutes, until your veggies are fully cooked. Assembly: Roll out your dough in a large rectangle. Add half of your cheese on the dough. Leave about an inch of space on 3 edges. This way when you roll your dough you can seam it together and none of your toppings will fall out. Add the cooked filling over the first layer of cheese. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder Distribute all of the pepperoni evenly Add the remaining cheese Tuck the sides of the dough and slowly roll into a log(like you are rolling a burrito). Tuck in the dough as you go Pinch the ends and set on a baking dish with parchment paper, seam side down. Brush with olive oil Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and coarse salt Bake for 25-30 minutes Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving This dish is best served with a side of marinara sauce or ranch to your taste Let's get started!
