In this video we look at some simple practices we can use to boost our abdominal health, digestive power and overall energy levels. The practices themselves are easy, but the efficiency of them will also depend on the kind of mental state we manage to put ourselves into whilst doing them. We start with some abdominal massage techniques to free up blockages along the large intestine and small intestine. Followed by nourishing, warming and boosting our “yellow court”, the area which pertains to the spleen and stomach Qi in Chinese medicine. If the yellow court is strong and healthy our metabolism functions well and the food qi (Gu Qi) gets transformed and transported through the body to nourish all the cells, muscles and structures. This warms, energises and nourishes the body in an efficient way. If the yellow court is weak in Chinese medicine, we can get symptoms such as; low energy, abdominal bloating, weak digestion, coldness around the abdomen, muddled and slow brain, over-thinking, over-worry and feelings of heaviness.
