Here's a simple jump rope training trick that has helped me for years. It has improved my skipping skills and made my jump rope workouts skyrocket in a very short space of time. Whereas jump rope is traditionally done on the spot, jumping up and down in one place, I'd encourage you to try moving around with your rope as well. IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT GAME! Apart from the first benefit being that... it looks good 😎the main advantage of doing this is in the "pushing off" action you need to do with your legs to move around. You're engaging more of the leg and waking up a whole set of muscles that isn't needed when you simply jump up and down on the spot. The side-effect of this is more agility and a more powerful leg strength in your training sessions.
