I love trying new things.. this Pierogi was just that for me. I always end up hyper focusing on Great Britain and the US when I think about WW2, Ithink perhaps because its a) in English, and b) its very familiar territory for me. Also, the language barrier is definitely a thing. Thankfully I was able to get Google to translate some web pages for me on the Google Poland server and I was able to get my hand on this Blueberry Pierogi with Mock Cream sauce recipe! I actually found the mock cream recipe first, which then piqued my interest because I had never heard of a mock cream using potatoes and then that eventually led me to the blueberry dumplings. My blueberries were a little sour (thanks to it being out of season and frozen lol)but I'd be willing to try it again with fresh blueberries come August! It was pretty cool to learn something new not only in recipe form, but also about a country I know next to nothing about. Let me know in the comments if you make these or remember your relatives making these... and if I did it right! Also, any recipe suggestions are welcome! I'd love to try out your old family recipes or things you're just curious about :) Enjoy! RECIPE LINK: https://aniagotuje.pl/przepis/pierogi... Music by: www.bensound.com
