Date(s) filmed: Tuesday the 28th of January / Saturday the 23rd of August 2025 Videos filmed at: 13:40 / 11:40 | 11:52 Route: Hertford East Branch Line Ware (WAR) Station Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV) Filming location (Ware is it?): Amwell End, Ware (SG12 9JE) A trio of videos filmed on two separate dates at this level crossing just south of Ware Town Centre next to its railway station on the single-track section of the branch line to Hertford East. Owing to a number of issues and faults with the previous alarms, there are (somewhat otherwise unfortunately) two fairly new and standard-sounding alarms at this level crossing nowadays, which like all the others in the area is controlled from Liverpool Street signalling centre in London. This is quite a busy crossing, and pedestrians can skip the waits here provided they are able to navigate the high footbridge. As you can note, the barriers here (also reasonably new-ish) raise remarkably quickly.
